Matterport Panorama Extraction Service

INTRO / PURPOSE

This page explains how to transfer your Matterport project so processing can begin.

Please complete the steps below after placing your order.
If anything is unclear, contact us before transferring the project.

STEP 1 – PREPARE YOUR PROJECT

Before transferring the project, please review the following:

  1. Open your Matterport Cloud account

  2. Locate the project you ordered processing for

  3. Ensure you have the right to submit this project for processing

  4. Confirm that the project uses supported capture devices only (Matterport Pro1/Pro2/Pro3, Leica BLK360)

     

STEP 2 – CREATE A PROJECT COPY

Do not transfer ownership of your original project.

  1. Open the project menu (3 dots next to project name)

  2. Klick <<Create Copy>> to create a project copy

3. Confirm Popup

4. Copy of project is created

STEP 3 – OPTIONAL SCAN SELECTION

Only selected scans count toward your pricing tier.

Our sample project has 260 scans. You can order your panorama extraction product with a quantity of 250 scans (tier 2) by excluding 10 scans.

You can do this in one of the following ways:

  • List scan numbers to be processed (e.g. include scans 1,3,5,7–120, 128–260)

  • or list scans to be excluded (e.g. exclude scans 2,4,6,121-127)

  • insert you scan selection in Details > Description of the project copy and save your changes

Only selected scans are processed.

If no selection is provided, all scans in the transferred project copy will be processed up to the number of scans you ordered. For our sample project with 260 scans this means ordering tier 2 (101- 250 scans) would end up in processing scans 1 - 250.

1. Open project copy in Edit Mode and find scans to exclude for processing

2. Exit Editor, open Details section and insert your scan selection as Description

STEP 4 – TRANSFER THE PROJECT COPY

Please transfer this copy of your Matterport project to our processing account.

Do not transfer ownership of your original project.

  1. Matterport project transfer (summary)
  2. Open your Matterport Cloud account
  3. Locate the project you ordered processing for
  4. Create a project copy
  5. Optional: select scans and insert scan numbers as project description
  6. Transfer the copy to the data processing account [email protected] (details below)
  7. You will receive a message from Matterport when the project transfer was accepted

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER TRANSFER

Once the project copy has been transferred:

  1. Device compatibility is verified

  2. Processing starts based on your selected product and project size

  3. Panorama sets are generated and packaged

  4. You receive a download link by email

Processing time depends on project size and current workload.

If any issues arise before processing begins, we will contact you.

DATA HANDLING

  • Project data is used exclusively for the ordered service

  • No data is reused for other purposes

  • All project data is deleted after delivery
